St Monica’s Primary School

The design of the refurbished St. Monica’s Primary School results from over ten years of research into the most effective learning environments. This research is the culmination of work by Greg Whitby – Director of Education, Catholic Education Office Parramatta and ThomsonAdsett.

The approach to the learning environment was based around learning settings, which in turn focuses on the individual needs behind each learning activity for each year group. In reality, it is an environment that enables aged-based learning in a collaborative format focussing on individuals that empowers teachers to teach more productively than before and students to effectively participate in the process. Learning outcomes are measured against identified needs of each individual student in the group.
