Development of a regional centre of excellence in Cardiac, Oncology, Rehabilitation and Elderly Care for Jiangsu Province, China.
ThomsonAdsett was engaged to undertake the Master Planning and Detailed Schematic Design for the International Health City at Wuxi, 110km Northwest of Shanghai. The Master Plan for the 33 Ha site includes more than 2,200 residential apartments in a parkland setting. Each apartment is designed to be future or seniors‐living ready so that residents may age in place with dignity. A 600 bed elderly care and mental health facility is located in the Southeast corner of the sight, overlooking one of the natural canals that permeate the site.
A new 1400 bed international hospital, conference and teaching facilities are located in the Northeast corner of the site. These facilities will be run by the client's operational partners, Cleveland Clinic, thus providing state‐of‐the‐art specialist cardiac, oncology and rehabilitation services to Jiangsu Province.
